FEB. 7 Bl endzal IlLongvi ew Honda /Columbia M.e. backed R ya n Anderson took his new Honda to the win in . the h o tly contested Mini class of the scrambles held at Woodland Motocross Park. In moto one Anderson got the lead a head of Jeremy Pen tla nd, Travis Webber. Ern ie Gendron ' and Jeremiah Porter. After one lap Webber lost it and Gendron and Porter went by. By th e time Weboef got going Porter lo st it . Up front Anderson had 50 yards o n th e others a n d Webber lost it one more time. With a lap to go Pentla nd lost it. At th e checkered £lag it wa s Ander son , G endron. Pentland, Porter a nd Webber. In th e final moto Anderson got the lead foll owed by Pentland, Webber . P orter and G endron. G endron went under Porter on lap two and Webber co nt i n ued to pressure P entland everyw he re. Meanwhile Anderson wa s ou t to a sizeab le lead over th e rest o f th e pack. The orde r remained -th e same until th e la st lap whe n Webber sq ueeze d under Pentland h eading towar d s th e checkered flag. Autrey was a ll over Bass as th e rest of th e class strung o ut. Stradley moved by McGilvany and the po sitions were set to the finish where it wen t Bass. Autrey, La Voy, Aaron Waggoner. In the final moto Strad ley got the initial lead a head of Bass , Autrey, LaVoy, Aaron and Mike Waggoner and Lee and Teri T hompson. O n l ap two Bass took control of the lead while Mike Waggoner stalled out in turn two. Within two laps Autrey got by Stradley as did LaVoy. McGilvany had a problem and T eri Thompson passed him and her dad. Meanwhile Aaron Waggoner was all over Stradley looking for an opening that never appeared. At the checkered flag it was Bass, Autrey, LaVoy, Stradley. Wa ggoner , T eri Thompson, McGilvany and Lee Thompson. Results 60: 1. Brandon Lucas; 2. JoShua Currey. 80: 1. Ryan Anderso n; 2. Mud a nd Snow Scrambles ~ t Binghamton. Morris led from s ta rt to finish with Mike McKinney fa irly clos e behind. Morris}'mad e few mistakes a n d ga ve the balance of the field -n o oppdr tunity to di slodge him from his first place spot. T he victory was Morris ' second o f th e da y as he was al so victorious in th e 200cc class a hea d o f Ja y Mitrowitz. Randy Gardner again returned to hi s win n ing ways by ca p tu ri ng th e number o ne sp o t in th e Expert class. For nearly three years Gardner h as dom in at ed th e Exper ts an d h as been beaten on ly by mechan ical problem s o n a co upl e of occasio ns. Gardner lapped nearl y half th e field before racki ng up th e win, and on ly Jim Spen cer a nd Glen Davis avoi ded G ardn er goi ng a lap do wn . In th e Novice class first pl ace was gathered in by Doug WeIch.
