Team Green rider' Larry Roeseler powered his KX250 to third overall, f irst 250.cc Expert, despite a malfunctioning rear brake. T he al ways consistent Parry edged Charlie Barney o ut of second (first 250cc Vet) by just two pl aces. Dave Kerstin g was still hol di ng off fellow 250cc Sen ior Steve T hompso n as he flashed into the finish in 41st overa ll with Ron Paproski, who too k the Senior Open win, no t far behind. Clarke Coleman pass ed George Pennington to take th e Ama teur class win and Kelley Pa..'s rapid riding clinched the 125cc Amateur cla ss win and bumped him into the Expert ranks for future events. If th e Nat ional series had a special award for effort , th e round two trophy would have to go to Bill Flett, who muscled his hand-buil t, 400plus pound H arley Davidson all th e way around the 40-mi le first loop.
