Presstime reports from Europe ind icate that the Argentinian and Brazil ian road race Grands -Prix have been rescheduled for September 11 and September 17, respect iv ely . The events, originally scheduled for March 6 and ' March 13, came under fire from International Racing Teams Association (IRTA ) for their origina l ear ly scheduling and poor facilities. The major teams including Rothmans Honda, Marlboro Yamaha, ' Team Lucky · Strike Roberts, etc., had vowed not to attend the two events. Engine builder R ob Muzzy has formed an endurance road racing team wit h major sponsorship com ing from Targa Racing, a distributor of motorcycle accessories. The team will be made up of Larry Shorts and D a n Chivi ngton , with th e d u o competing in the AMA/CCS Endura nce Series on a Kawasaki ZX1000. Shorts rode for T eam Lockhart in 1987 with the team winning the AMA/ C CS National E n duran ce title. Reportedly, Muzzy also came close to signing Lockh ar t's o ther rid er, Dale Quarterley, but negotiations broke off a nd Quarterley will be riding for Lockhart.
