I Yama ha's Mik e Jones was high scorer at th e 4th Annual Secession · MX Pro-Am Regional , taking the 250cc A win as well as second in Open A action. Bob Hannah, rid ing a Suzuki borrowed from local racer' J am ey McCollum, was frustrated by severa l sp ills in th e opening 250cc A moto and had to sit o u t th e second · moto du e to an injured hand. Damon Brad shaw topped 'the 125cc A cla ss while Dick Bellora clai med Open A honor s. H annah took the lead at th e start of the opening 250cc A mo to with a spec tac u la r mo ve fro m the far o utside line in tu rn two. J ones was in hot p ursui t and found himself in • possession of th e lead wh en Ha nnah ' went down o n th e fourth lap. ' H annah restarted at mid-pack wh ile Bradshaw began reeling in Jones. Bradshaw was soo n in position to pass, but his attem p t in th e gatorback sectio n resulted in a spill and an unlu cky 13th pl ace finish . Gear/ PSI/Scoll-backed J ones cruised to th e win over Robbie T aylor. J ones took the lead away from Bellora in the early moments of moto two whi le Bradsh aw worked h is way toward the . front. T hree la ps later Bradshaw had closed th e gap on Jones and .went by for the lead. Bradshaw held on for th e win, netting fifth overa ll while Jo nes took the overall hon o rs via h is 1-2 score.
