While American Honda dealers won't be selling the two 1988 models shown here - the VFR750R (RC30) and CB450S - they will be offered on the Canadian market via Honda Canada dealers. The V-4, 16-valve. liquid-cooled, 748cc VFR750R (above) is a refinee' version of the 1987 RVF750 endurance road racer that won both the L€ Man!'; and Bol D'Or 24-hour events this year. It produces a claimed 112 bhp and weighs in at 407 pounds. Accordi'ng to Honda Canada sales literature, "Only a few VFRs will be imported into North America - all of them to Canada. Very expensive. Very powerful. Very fast." The CB450S (below) features a twin-cylinder, three-valve, OHC 447cc engine that pumps out a claimed 43 bhp. The CB450S is aimed at the entry-level market. Honda Canada says, "The CB450S proves it doesn't take a king's ransom to buy a responsive. fun motorcycle these days."
