Moree too k the overall win for the day with Guin having to settle for second. Mor ee also domi nated th e 125cc Ama teur class, although he went down ear ly in the second mota . H e mad e a good recovery a nd closed o ut th e field for the overall wi n for the da y. . In th e Pro class , Damon Bradsh a w, on a Yama ha, took the overall win wi th his spectacular moves over the fro nt ju mp with no one close beh in d. Ru sty Coleman, o n a Yamaha, ba tt led J im Neese o n a Su zu ki tho ug h both Seni or Min i mo tos. Despi te hi s valia nt effo rts, Co leman had to settle for an seco nd overa ll as Neese took ho me first place. It was a repeat performance for th e two chargers in th e Super Mini race, with Neese clai m ing th e victory. Craig Walters raced hard in th e Novi ce and Open Amateu r classes, H e was victori ous with a first overall in th e NOVice 'class a nd too k hom e a seco nd in th e O pen class . Iwanaga was ab le to parlay a small advantage to a 10-length lead at th e end of the IO-la p final. J eff Gabhart (Min i class), Perry La ng (250 and 500cc Novice class ) a nd Gary Vincele t (500cc Junio r class ) were all double wi nners on th e even ing a nd were mighty impressive in tHeir succes ses over great o pposition.
