Larson won both 500cc Pro motos with relative ease. Tommy Watts was the only rider to keep him in sight. Brian Roth (55R). Buddy Antunez (B76) and Tommy Clowel'll charge into the fim tum in the 80cc Expert class. Antunez took: the overall win. Clowel'll finished second and Roth was fifth. had been picking off riders one by one while moving up from seventh, closed in on Ryan. Dubach left the throttle pinned over a jump to get by Ryan, who was obviously slowing after hurting his back. "I hit my back real hard when I bottomed out and went off the track," said Ryan. Matiasevich cruised in for the win ahead of Davis, Dubach, Ryan and Manley. Between motos, Ryan stretched and worked on his back. It must have helped because he was in the leadby the second lap of the second heat when Wino, who nailed the start, overshot a turn at the bottom of a downhill and dropped way back in the pack. Dean Matson, aboard a Honda, held second over Dubach, Davis, Honda rider Jon Nelson, Surratt and Manneh. Dubach quickJy moved into second when he zapped Matson on the inside, and Davis moved by also. Ryan, Dubach and Davis started to inch their way farther ahead of the field, with the rest of the pack playing follow the leader. Back in the pack, Surratt was on the move. First he moved by Nelson for fifth, then a lap later he chased down and easily passed Matson. But with only two laps left, Surratt didn't have enough time to catch the leaders. Ryan took the win with Dubach second ahead of Davis and Surratt. Matiasevich finished the moto fifth and took fourth overall behind Davis. • Results 60 (0·8): 1. Jerry Harvey (Kew); 2.
