Frank led the next few lap while Surratt moved by Davis and Mati· asevich looked for a way around Tallon Vohland. At the beginning of lap four, Frank lost his small advantage when he stalled his bike on the uphill. Surratt moved in and stole the lead later in the lap, making the order Surratt, Frank, and the tightly-grouped uio of Davis, Matiasevich and Tallon Vohland. By the end of the eighth lap, Tyson Vohland moved in on his brother Tallon and took over fifth when Tallon went wide in a turn.
