Kenny Peiper had the lead from
the short yardage on the SlaTt but he
was challenged by McBride and
Andy Northrup on lap two. Northrup got past first for the lead with
McBride having to battle Peiper [or
almost two laps before taking second
away.
Northrup marmed the point position until lap six when McBride
guided his new machine past. Once
by, McBride let the new machine out
and he built up a small lead before
taking the Sid Sutton checkered.
Nordu;up looked like he was going
to take second but in the last tum
he went .from second back to fifth
when Lucero, Faria and Oxley aU
blitzed by.

Bubba Erickson piloted his Suzuki to second in the 125cc Intermediate
class at Los Angeles County Raceway's motocross.
