With two laps to go in the mota, Cooper was still clinging to his second place slot but had his hands .cull with Holland and Brooks. The trio bauled as they raced down the first hill, then Holland made his bid in the turn at the base of the hill. Holland and Cooper collided in the corner and Holland went down. The collision slowed CooJ3er enough LO let Brooks sneak back inLO second. "There was a lot of heavy battling," said Brooks, "a lot of running into each other, trying LO jump over each other, there was really nowhere to pass, you just had LO do anything you could do to pass." Dymond cruised in for the win with Brooks barely hol.ding off .Cooper for second. Holland and Eric Kehoe rounded out the tOP five. Dymond's 2-1 rally gave him the overall win, Brooks took second, while Ryan's 1-7 gave him third. "In the first moto the dust was so bad I couldn't get in there and race with him (Ryan). I would have hated to be a specra~ standing out there in the dust, th~people have a lot of heart to do that - I had goggles on, they didn't. I'io just thrashed. " • Results 125: 1.
