Jut being a fan of the port for 20 years migbt not necessarily make you an expert on its i sues_ [ tbank you, Mark Edwards, for your interest in taking the time to read our advertising and making a re ponse to it in Cycle News. However, apparenlly your information with regard to some of the LOpics is either confused and/or wrong. The lhing that disturbs me most, bowever, is your inuendo that [ have "fabricated or enhanced" my prior successes to drum up business. AlLhough you have the right to question wbat you feel, I suggest that you get your facts straight before you accuse someone of something that is obviously false. To auack someone's credibility by accusing him of falsifying factual records is inexcuseable, When I was racing and accomplishing my wins and tilles, I had to defend those wins and ti t]es each time I hopped on a motorcycle. To defend those titles many years later when [ no longer compete in molOcross is ludicrous. The advertising I believe Mr. Edwards refers to is the folJowing, and I quote, "Tony D's credibility in the field of motocross stands on a strong foundation. His experience ranges from winning in lhe Florida Series, Inter-Am and National Series Championships to Supercross, Trans USA, and Grand Prix titles, along with being a seventime member of the Trophee and MOLOcross des Nations teams." First of all, I do not claim to be a seven time Motocros and Trophee des Nations team member. I was a seven-time member. I only take claim LO what is fact and listed here are those facts: l. ] 974 Motocross des ations, Sweden; 2, 1975 Trophee de Nations, lLaly; 3. ]975 Motocross des ation, Czecho lovakia: 4. 1976 Trophee des Nations, wilZerland; 5. 1976 MOlocross des Nations, Hoiland; 6. 1977 Mofocross des Nations, France; 7, 1977 Trophee des Nations, Holland. I finished first American in the last [our events listed above. This title was given to me, or anyone who achieve
