york metropolitan area and drew a
crowd of 28,672 in a stadium that
seats ovt'r 70,000. The track was
dt'signed and built by John Savitski
using over 9000 LOns of din laid over
230,000 square ft'et of plastic and
supported by 6500 sheets 4' x 8'
plywood. Riders had mixed opinions
of the ,nark with some saying tbat
passing was easy while others disagreed. For the most part, there was
