"Bigley bags Summit vValley HS . .By KAW- eGO ge ~IYiMIT VALLEY, OH, APR. 19 Don Bigley used a tool head and a ronsistent ride to take the 200cc class as well as the overall win of the Summit Valley Hare Scramble. Bigley and Open class winner Butch Wiseman kept each otlier in sight the entire race. -' Tim Coen jumped out front early and set a wild pace. Coen flipped when he tried passing a slower rider on lap 10. Coen's Kawasaki lost its brakes and Coen parked it after lap II. . z· Bigley found a good line up the hill leading to the TT track finish area and used it twice to overtake Wiseman. Craig Herman was third verall. Lightning Weppler moved Ifrom sixth after lap one to finish :third in the Open class. Results 200: 1. Don Big1ev; 2. Crlig Hermen; 3. Din llig1ev· 201/0PEN: 1. Lightning Weppler. 1 ~ .'liams powers to Princeton ST wins By Karen lewis PRINCETON, KY, MAY 2 Denne Williams came away a double ~inner tonight at the short track races, after claiming both the 250cc and Open class wins. Williams and John Lewis ran sideby-side down the back straight as the 250cc final got underway. Williams took control and took a slight win over Lewis. Scott Hewitt ran third fpr most of the race before getting J:Doved back a spot by Charles Fen~ll in the late laps. . Williams also led the Open class main down the .backstretch, but tommy Register and Charles Southpte jammed by to move him back to third. Williams passed Southgate ;back and when the white flag came out he stuffed Register going into [lurn oile. Register tried to come back, but ran out of time and settled for second. Another double class winner was Joel Barrow. He ran away with the 200cc final and did likewise in the 125cc main. The battle for second in the 125cc class was a dogfight down to the end that Brian Dowell claimed over Bruce Fiser and T.j. Burnette. James Hart jumped on top of the Amateur maID and couldn't be Caught. Roy Hart and Jim Smith claimed the next two spots as the race was called complete when Bobby 'Dowell's fall brought out the red .flag. Joshua Knott holeshot the Auto.matic dass final and Jon Camp couldn't reel him in, in the eightlap event. Nicls Hayden filled out the 'winner's circle. Results AUTO: 1. Joshul Knon (Vim); 2.
