and Pete Frost on his TZ250. They both pulled away from the pack early in the race, swapping the lead several times as they worked their way through slower traffic. On the last lap, Roos outbraked Frost going into the two 90s and took the lead, but Frost used a superior drive out of the last turn to streak by for the win. In A Production action, Scott Russell jumped out with a commanding lead on his' Suzuki GSXR750. Behind him was a heated battle for second between Ewerth, Hall and Tim Ledbetter. Russell cruised to an easy win in this one with Ewerth second and Ledbetter third. Novice George Fox had a good day with wins in A Production, B Production, and B Superbike Novice races while Novice Mike Smith won the C Production and C Superb ike Novice races. In the final race of the day, A Superbike, Rentzell got the holeshot and led the first lap. On lap two, Stevens passed Rentzell and continued to put distance between them to take the checkered £lag; setting a new counterclockwise lap record of 1:00:10. The previous lap record of 1:00:16 was set by Doug Polen. Stevens was happy about his wins. "I've had fun," Stevens said. "I borrowed the Suzuki from a friend to dial it in. Little Muddy Enduro and took the overall honors_ Before the scores were final it took a trip to the back-up sheets and the results of a tiebreaker. Can-Am rider Kelly Getz, riding. on minute 34, was first to the final check. Cetz dropped 16 points and thought he had captured ·overall honors when Fredette, riding on minute 59, posted a 17 point trail marker loss.
