The YoungbJood twins battled each other on their Woody Kyleprepared Yamahas from start to finish in both the 85cc (14-15) heat and final. Derek Youngblood took the early lead in the heat to ride a wire-to-wire win ahead of Daryl , Youngblood, Jared King, Ryan Dean and Tony Young. Daryl lost no time moving into the lead at the start of the main then battled side-by-side with Derek in the second lap. Dere'k slipped into the lead, and pulled . slightly away, leaving Daryl to battl~ King through the comers. Derek styled in for a hard-earned win ahead of Daryl, King, Dean and Young. "Daryl, Jared and I were really battling out there," said Derek. "We were all riding strong. Jared's bike bogged, but my bike was fast as could be and really pulled me through the jumps and whoops." Rob Hansen, 19th-place finisher in his heat, came on strong at the start of the 125cc B class main event. He took the lead away from Wade Bercaw then controlled the moto. Marcus Pede'ro came out of nowhere to ride behind him all the way to the finish. Rob Hansen pulled away from Pedero by high flymg over the doubles. Tom Gardner, Adam Smith and Jeffery Lampe rounded out the top five. . "I fell in the first tum of the heat," said Hansen. "I just went back out and qualified. I knew the main was what counted." Pedero flew to the ~in in the 250cc B class after stalling early in the moto. He finished ahead of Rusty Sayres, Todd Gardner, Rob Cassube and T.]. Brantley. Qualifiers and consolations were run for the 125cc C and 250cc C classes. In the 125cc main Jeff Paggio had the lead but went wide and found himself at the rear of the pack. Eddie Cherry worked his way up to finish first ahead of Brian Broussard, Jeff Warrington, Bobby McClelland and Robert Britton. Michael Broelli and Ross Wagner transferred to the 250cc main as winners of th~ir heats. Jeff Warrington passed them up to take the win in the final. Mike Scarrett, forced to ride the consolation to gain a transfer to the main, claimed the second place position in the main ahead of Wagner, Steve Rodriguez and Jon Jacobsen. Rodney Orr claimed wins in both the heat and ,the final of the Open Novice class. Jim Montgomery fought a close battle in the heat out was edged out of the second-place finish in the main by Rick Perry. Scott Salkill and Scott Taylor followed Montgomery to round out the top five. A1 Gardner held a strong lead in the Senior class final but nearly lost it to Randy Faul in the last lap. Gardner cut over and shut the door forcing Faul to settle with a secondplace finish ahead of Kenny Campbell, Tony Ferguson and Steven Dixon. '. Results ' 65 (7-11): 1. Chris Allen (Klw~ 2.
