(Suz~ Fosnock aces Pro-Caliber SX By Susan Willian TERRE HAUTE; IN, APR. 11 Night racing was at its best at the Pro Caliber night supercross event as Beckman Kawasaki-sponsored Billy Fosnock charged into action in the 250cc A to take double mota wins for the overall. Fosnock was the early leader in turn one of the first 250cc A mOLO with Danny Umbarger in pursuit. Fosnock pulled out to a wide margin for the win. In mota two, Fosnock opted to remain at the gate while the rest of the pack fired from the line. Fosnock went from last to second on lap one. The checkered found Fosnock in command. Chip Hunter gassed his machine into the lead in mota one of the 125cc B class with Rod Foley hot on his trail. Foley had some problems and dropped back several spots. Hunter stretch.ed out the lead as Steve Drake, who was running second, went down. Robert Steigerwalt then moved into second to chase Hunter. Hunter crashed, but still maintained a slim lead over Steigerwalt. Hunter went down again and Steigerwalt moved into the lead position. Steigerwalt bobbled, but remounted in time to keep first. The white flag lap found Steigerwalt again almost losing it through the whoops as Hunter dropped to fifth. Steigerwalt managed to hold on to first as a race for second developed between John Matthews and Delbert Mock. Matthews barely held off Mock for second. . Tim Borgfield timed the drop of the gate to perfection in mota two as he shot around turn one with Hunter, Scott Atwell and Foley in tow. Hunter passed Borgfield to take the !ead and he, Borgfield and Atwell raced together through the popular whoop section. Atwell moved by Borgfield to take over second while Steigerwalt closed in on Foley to take . over fourth. Atwell later passed Hunter for the lead, bu t remained the leader for onl y a short time as he crashed, allowing Hunter to retake the lead. Atwell bounced back to re-take his lead. Steigerwalt was up to third and attempted to pass Hunter, but Hunter continually blocked his moves. Hunter carne out on top at the checkered followed by Atwell. Atwell was the overall winner with a 4-1 while Delbert Mock worked his way to third for a second overall with a 3-3. Results SR: 1. Kevin Poole (Han); 2. Dennis Harlan (Yam); 3.
