Lough, Bradshaw mangle Montrose MX By Gary Crider FAYETTEVILLE, NC~ MAR. 15 The final round of the Southeastern MX Association's 4th Annual Carolina Winter Series at Montrose MX saw Virginia's Chad Lough top the Senior and Super Mini divisions while Damon Bradshaw styled his way to runaway wins in the 125 and 250cc Amateur classes. Chuck Shirley claimed double series crowns in .65cc and Junior Mini competition. Bobby Houser was the only other double-ti tIe winner, taking the honors in the 125 and 250cc Amateur divisions. Suzuki pilot Lough stayed ahead of the pack to win both motos in Senior Mini racing while Yamaha riders Carl Fogle, Rusty Coleman and series winner Jim Neese waged war for runner-up honors. Fogle's eventual 4-2 score bested Coleman's 3-4. Neese had to settle for fourth overall with his 2-5 tally after running into trouble in moto two. The same top four Senior Mini riders returned to do battle in the Super Mini division. Series winner Lough came out on top via his I2 tally. Fogle DNF the opening moto but came back to win the second. Neese was runner-up over Coleman. Bradshaw wowed the crowd with stylish jumps en route to a pair of easy wins in 125cc Amateur action while Kevin Walker dropped series winner H!Juser. to third in both motos. Yamaha's Bradshaw has added a 250cc mount to his stable and seemed at ease on the larger bike as he romped to a pair of runaway wins over Houser. Canada's Carl Samson captured third overall aboard his O'Neal-backed Honda and said, "We made the drive down just to get in some practice before the season starts at home." Samson's teammate Harold Vezina finished fourth overall in the 125-500cc Pro class. Tim Terry and Brian McNeill have matched wheels repeatedly in the 125-500cc Pro class throughout the series. Today was no exception as McNeill managed to erase Terry's holeshot advantage in both motos to win with a perfect score over Terry. Terry claimed the series championship, however, by a slim nine-point margin over McNeill Timmy Barnes finished third for the day and third in the series. Results 65 MINI: 1. lach Bradshaw (Kaw); 2.
