Russ Wageman (60) leads Shawn Wooten (9), Chris Young (49) and Willie a Team Suzuki's Willie Surratt had good 'night in Las Vegas, winning the 260cc Pro class and taking second in the 126cc Pros. NMA Silverbowl of Motocross Surratt and Lewis score in Las Vegas , Kyle Lewis piloted his Honda to the victory in the 126cc class, easily taking the win by 10 seconds over Surratt. This was the first stadium motocross held at the Sam Boyd Silverbowl and in addition to the Pro races a full slate of Amateur racing took place in the afternoon. The track was small and compact with a lot of switchbacks. The track was made from fairly loamy sOil and required constant attention to repair ruts during the evening's program. 126cc Pro Two preliminary races led off the each Pro class with the top eight 10 each division's six-lap moto going on to the final. In the lead-off Pro race of the evening, Jeff Matiasevich grabbed the early lead in the 125cc" Pro Division One moto ahead of Surratt and Kawasaki rider Mike Kiedrowski. The top three riders remained in close formation for the first hall of the six-lap moto. Surratt managed to pressure Matiasevich for the lead a few times, but was never able to mount a serious enough challenge to grab the lead. In the 125cc Pro Division Two moto Brian Manley togk the victory over Idaho's Lowell Thomson, who was fresh off two Expert class victories at the GNC International Final" in Texas, and Kawasakimounted Craig Canoy. Behind Canoy the last five transfer spots went to Bader Manneh, David Graff, Tom Holt, Willy Musgrave and Steve Furuya. Four riders were ~ven one last shot to make the malO event in the Last Chance Qualifier. Jeff Reynolds jumped out to the lead in the early going with Robert Flores and Mike Pascarella in tow. Reynolds took the win, but Flores lost the second place spot to Pascarella on the final lap. The last transfer spot went to Kevin Steele. Surratt led the 2O-rider field into the tight first turn in the 125cc Pro final, with Lewis glued to his rear
