Motocross des Nations I ju t want to take a moment lO express feelings hopefully felt by others. This year the nited tates of America is holding the 19 7 roundof the Motocro s des ations, possibly the most prestigious molO ro s of the year. I, being one of the vast unknowns that enjoys and supports this sport, will have a once in a lifetime chance to see the world's best compete together. This event is made even more memorable and special by our riders who give us 110%. They have placed themselves at the forefront of this international event for the past six year. As any enthusia t from any winning nation, they have made me and many others proud. However, I am also saddened by the negative events that ha\le taken place during this past six years. orne of those tnat have carried us lO great heights have fallen and are not able to provide us the thrills, envy and pride so enjoyed in the past. Whatever the reason this mav have happened, a break in concentr'ation, track design, whatever, it has happened and I will miss them; I have not fogotten them. I personally am dedicating thi year's event to Donnie Hanson, Danny "Magoo" Chandler and David Bailey. They've given us, the fans, I 10% and still are. I hope there are others that feel the way I do and hopefully a 1987 win will be a tribute showing everyone's appreciation (or their personal accomplishments and dedication to us the fans. THOMAS C.
