England's Paul Iddon finished second in the World Championship Formula One Series in 1986 and will ride at Daytona. been elevated to the World Cham· pionshi p 500cc campaign instead and must start his season at Suzuka in Japan instead of at Daytona. For the British Loctite Yamaha team run by former Daytona regular Steve Parrish - now retired from the track but not the trackside - there's the experienced pairing of Keith Hue· wen and Trevor Nation. Both men cut their racing teeth on two strokes as privateers and are now facing a full Formula One campaign in the bosom of a factory team for the first time. Also from Britain comes Geoff Fow.ler. He'll be riding a bike which Skoal Bandit is basically the Yamaha that Team Motor Cycle News raced to ninth in the World Championship Endurance Series last year. One of the sensations of last year's Formula One series was Swede An· ders Andersson who led the cham· pionship in the early stages on his immaculately self· tuned and prepared Suzuki and eventually finished third. This year, with a lot more help from the Suzuki factory, Andersson has picked Daytona to start the season and he can't wait for the World Championship Superbike Series to get going. "It will be a good thing for Keith Huewen will team with Nation on the British loctite Yamaha Team; Huewen cut his teeth riding two-stroke machinery.
