Morris won three sixlap heats en route to a 12 points, and Hebb rode consi tently with three seconds and two wins to 'tie for second place after one round. Arai/Fox/SuperTrapp/Wisecol Megacycle/Lectron/Oury/Honda of Bartow, Florida-sponsored Brow went on to win the main event, however, over Rhoads, Morris, and Hebb who shared the front row start. Rhoads was second and Hebb third while Morris crashed near the end of the eight-lap final but recovered to finish sixth. Dave Knapp, one of three motorcycle riders to do double-duty aboard ATVs, won the four-wheel main event aboard a Kawasaki Mojave.
