Q Two-time Grand National Champion Dick Mann piloted his BSA to the victory in the Vintage Vet Expert class at the Vintage Motocross at DeAnza. LOok advantage of the terrain, and being familiar with the Gorman area, he got on the gas. "I anticipated some of the rocky sections," said Postel, "and when I saw we had a 24 mph section coming up I knew it went through a rocky stream bed, so I rode 10 seconds before my minute." This paid off late in the second loop where Postel was the only rider to zero the second-to-last check. Despite burning that one check, Daniel wrapped up the Open A class win wi.th a 9.79 score, while Howell and Tom McAllister (KTM) rounded out the top three.
