The GV1400GDH Cavalcade LXE (deluxe) has new colors, higher-mounted rear view mirrors, easier access helmet locks and an air adjustable seat.
Suzuki is maintaining its lineup of DR off-road. four-stroke "playbikes."
The DFJ200H (show,:,) is the largest displacement in the DR series.
producing 12.2 inches of front-wheel
travel; the full-floating rear suspension system has new linkages. Gone
this year is the eccentric cam design,
which allows for a less-friction and
more sensitive, progressive linkage
design. Both bikes sport a single
Kayaba piggyback rear shock, with
an Alamite coating to help reduce
friction, and 21 compression and rebound damping adj ustment settings.
Rear wheel travel on the RM250 is
12.7 inches and on the 125 is 12.4
inches.
Both front and rear suspensions
have been designed to give the Suzukis a more level riding position to
replace that front-end "diving" feeling for which RMs are noted. Both
bikes have detachable rear frame sections, hard plastic front brake cables
and a three-piston, front disc brake.
The RM 125H has gone from a case
induction reed-valve design to a piston pon reed-valve, and the crank has
been made lighter for quicker revs.
Unlike the 125, the RM250H will
come stock with a rear disc brake and
a Suzuki Boron Composite-plated
cylinder to reduce weight and to
improve heat dissipation. It too has a
lighter crank to improve throttle response. The RMl25H and RM250H
have suggested retail prices of .$2399
and $2899, respectively.
Only a few changes are found on
the new RM80H. Besides new graphics, the RM80H has a larger air
cleaner box and boasts redesigned
cylinder poning for added horsepower. It too has a detachable rear
frame section for easier maintenance.•
The 1987 GSXR11 OOH (above) features mostly styling changes. Suzuki's
