The '87 Suzuki Intruder 1400 will be available in late November. The 1360cc V-twin powerplant pumps out a claimed 73 horsepower.
The air-cooled/oil-cooled engine with exhaust system weighs 220
pounds. The rear cylinder is oil-cooled, the front air-cooled.

to attend a press briefing and ride the
Intruder 1400 on September 16.
Suzuki said they had several goals
in mind when they set out to design
and then produce the Intruder 1400.
Their intent was to produce a motorcycle that had a clean and forceful
image, a massive powerplant that
would produce a deep throaty sound
and awesome acceleration, and a
jewel-like finish.
What resulted was the largest production V-twin powerplam, a fourstroke, overhead cam, three-valve per
cylinder (two intake, one exhaust)
engine with 9.3: I compression ratio
that produces a claimed 73 horsepower at 4,500 rpm.
