Gammon KINGSPORT, TN, AUG. 30 Kentucky rider Tommy Watts made an impressive appearance at the Victory Sports-promoted Pepsi Supercross with wins in 28 the 125 and 250cc Pro classes. Jeff Glass led the 125cc Pro class off the gate with Watts and Jim Chester close behind. Watts cut inside Glass to put his Kawasaki in the lead. Once in front, Watts pulled away from the pack and styled his way to the win. Glass madea charge near the end, but couldn't.catch Watts. Robbie Taylor worked his way to third ahead of Scott Watkins, Robert Metsinger, Mike Andrews and Derrick Roe. Glass, Andrews and Mike Garrett were in the front as the 250cc class came off the gate. Andrews pushed Glass and passed on the doubles on lap four. Watts started 10th and charged through the pack to take the win.· On lap six, Andrews crashed and Watts passed Glass for the lead. Taylor then turned the wick up and passed Glass and set out after Watts. Watts took the win over a charging Taylor and Scott Watkins. Glass ended up in fourth ahead of Andrews, who recovered from his crash. Ron Jones and Eddie Branch led the Open Pros off the line, but Watts had the lead before the first lap was over.:rommy Martin moved to second, but fell and went to the back of the pack. Jones held second, but Gerald , Greene was pushing. Greene cut In- inside Jones and took the second slot. Martin charged back through the pack and at the same time Watts slowed with a flat. With two laps to go, Martin passed Watts for the lead. Watts rode hard trying to hold ont!? second, but crashed as his bike was difficult to control. Greene moved into second for good followed by Jones and Mike Eads. After leading the race early on, Bo Shannon stalled his motor allowing Kevin Addair to take the lead. Shannon charged back to take the lead w!th one lap to go and scored the Win. Chad Lough holeshot the Senior Minis, bUL Mike Brown passed and took the win. Lough fell and Mike Padgett filled the second position at the flag. Padgett came back and led the 125cc C class through the first turn with Jimmy Cornett applying the pressure. Cornett passed, but spun out and Padgett took the win. Chuck Blackmon was in front of ~he pack as the 125cc B class charged through the first turn. On lap two, Mike Tolliver took over the lead and they finished in that order. Steve Tilson and Tim Jennings were the front runners in the 250cc C class start. Bobby Gilbert charged through the pack and had the lead at the end of lap one. Gilbert cruised to the win and Bryan Hayworth moved to second at the end. Larry Harrison and teammate Jay Hayes battled for the lead in the 250cc B class. Harrison crashed and Hayes won with Kirk Johnson moving to second, . Results 125 PRO: 1. Tommv Wans (Kaw); 2.
