for the past decade or so, you've heard of
-Billy Liles. The likeable 26-year-old native
Georgian has been tearing up the competition since his early childhood, firs.t grooming

his skills at local short track
races, then moving on to moto-
I cross.
Liles was the top gun in
mOLOcro s in the Southeast through
the lale 1970s and early 80s. He was
one of the initial riders on Kawasaki's
Team Green support program, and
when a slot opened up on Kawasaki's
factory squad in 1982, Liles hit the
Pro circuit as a factory rider.
