Hauer lead the first lap. but McLean shot past and stayed ahead for the remainder of the second. Hauer regained the lead and kept it for good despite constant pressure from McLean. McLean took the holeshot and stayed out in front throughout the entire second molO. Fellow Honda rider Hauer was confined to third place throughout the race, but pulled off second overall. Michael Moore put in a 4-5 day for third on a Yamaha. McLean moved from third to first in the fiist molO of the Open race. Moore was on his tail from the third lap one, and Jerry Seip J r. took third. Bob Sorenson threatened Seip, taking fourth. Mike Ebert lead the first three laps of the second molO before McLean hot past for the win. Ebert held on to second to score third overall. Seip battled with oren on and was on the third Honda to cross the line, earning second overall. Sorenson took another fourth on his Somerset County KTM/ Suzuki-sponsored KTM. Steven Herman also had a fine day. He led every lap of both motos of the Mini Senior Expert class, going essentially unchallenged for the win. Herman arrived JUSt in time for the race after a long drive back from Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals. Herman was well ahead of the pack on his Kawasaki. Chasing Herman for second in both mOlOS was Dennis Dillin. Eric Bow could only muster a sixth place in the first mOlO> but hustled to third in the second tQ take third overall. Like Herman, Bow also rides for Cumberland Kawasaki. All of the Seniors were run together in combined motos. Jeff Matlack burst to the holeshot twice and set, the pace all day. Matlack was in the B class, however, so it was quite an accomplishment for the Yamaha rider. Honda-mounted Thomas Brennan kicked up a lot of dust en-route to A-class wins just behind Matlack. Bud Kozimor landed second via a !-2 on a Yamaha. Joe Yagloski rounded outtheclass witha 2-3 on his Yamaha. Results 60: 1. Daniel Burnett lKaw); 2. Bob HUrnJMr III (Kaw); 3.
