So when he heard about Bonneville Speed Week recently, Doug decided to run his Ninja 1000R there. He took the mirrors and tum signals off, did some prep on it, and entered the practically box-stock Kawasaki in the Production 1000cc class. Smart decision. Because he Let the good times roll. shattered the world speed record for production bikes by 17 seconds, with an SCTA verified average time of 166.629. Not even the eo C monster 1300's could touch his tuP- Ninja 1000R. And while Doug and his superbike were on the way to one record, their one way run of 169.213 set another. And for the record, Doug, congratulations.
