Will miss the racing
For the past three years I have had
the honor of being a Honda ambassador LO the privateers of motocross.
This, as all things must, has changed
and I have been assigned to another
position. I will miss the racing and
all the great people involved with the
sport. So, thanks LO all the race support dealers, riders, mechanics, aftermarket representatives, promoters,
track owners and their families for
their help and support during my
tenure. Good luck and thanks LO all
of youl

Cheers for Yamaha
I would like to extend a very special
"thank you" to the mechanics at
Team Yamaha, especially to Cliff
Leu and Mike Chavez.
My son is Brian "Spud" Walters
and he rides a YZ80. While at the
Ponca City Nationals, these two fine
mechanics worked fast and furious to
replace the clutch and ignition system
that burned up in one moLO LO ready
the bike fonhe nextrace. We had very
Iitlle time and they worked diligently
LO have the bike ready.
Thanks again for being so concerned and helpful when we were in
need. Yamaha, again you're number
one.

stronger and faster than ever. News
has it he's coming along fine and will
be back in action next season.
The injury was a tough break for
Ron and we'll look forward LO seeing
him come back strong.

Scott Parker fan
You do a good job covering the
Camel Pro Nationals. But my real
purpose of writing is to ask for Scou
Parker's address. He's my favorite
racer and has been since he started
racing.
On September 3, attheendof their
eight-hour meeting, the Los Angeles
Community College Board of Trustees agreed to continue the MOLOrcycle Repair program at Los Angeles

1986 and the spring semester of 1987.
The stipulation is that only those
students currenlly enrolled or those
who have dropped out after successfully completing one or more semesters can return.
Bob Price, a returning third semester student in Motorcycle Repair,
impressed the trustees when he informed them that he is working for
Rider magazine. Not only is he working as a technician, but he has been
working on both sides of a camera
during testing. Recenlly Bob was
promoted LO technical ass()Ciate and
plans LO send each trustee a copy of
the magazine so they can read some of
the articles he has wriueri.
