"The MOTORCYCLIST
staff· seems to like the same
things about motorcycling
that turn me on."
N.....: Bob Sinclair
Occupation: President and Chief Executive
Officer, Saab-Scania of America
Riding history: "I bought a motorized bicycle-a Whizzer-when I was 15. ] promptly
crashed on that and got away from motorcycles
until 1963 when] was 31. ] bought a 250 Yamaha and have been riding ever since."
Riding preference: "I ride both street and
dirt, but now that I'm living in New Englaild, ]
ride almost exclusively on pavement. ] like all
kinds of motorcycles and the people who ride
them...and ] especially like people who are ac-
tively pursuing the sport and are a little on the
risk-taking side. I have lots of conservatism in
my business, sitting behind a desk, holding meetings, logging reports, and all the rest of it. Motorcycles keep me sharp and are tremendously
exciting."

M.g.zlne: "I read MOTORCYCLIST from
cover to cover. The MOTORCYCLIST staff
seems to like the same things about motorcycling
that tum me on: crisp performance, getting out
on the open road, and really getting sensual enjoyment out of a bike. I like the editorial posture,
which is factual as well as lighthearted.
And the use of color
and the way it's laid
out gives the magazine
a lot of graphic excitement. One of my favorite sections of MOTORCYCLIST is the
'Off the Record' part
of the road tests where
the testers give their
personal opinions. Actually, I like the whole
magazine."
