AMA YOUlH/AMATEUR NATIONAL MX
CHAMPIONSHIPS. HURRICANE MILLS,
TENN. AUG. 13 -16, 1986.
After rocking Ponca the week before,
Kawasaki riders took their act to Tennessee's
AMA MX National Chanipionships. And they
stole the show again, taking nine titles.
Donny Schmit and his
KX were flawless in the
250cc Pro-Am class, winningall three motos and
the overall. Ditto for Ezra
Lusk in the 65cc Stocks
(7-11). Denny Stephenson was doubly perfect,
capturing all six motos of
the 125cc Stocks (12-15)
and 125cc Modifieds (1215). Veteran performer
Robby Neeley blew every-
I.;;
one away in the Seniors
30+ for the second
straight year. And Marvelous Mercedes Gonzalez
took over as the new
Women's Champion.
Co-starring with these great riders were their
Kawasaki superstars: KX motocrossers. With
high performance features like liquid-cooling,
Kawasaki's Integrated Power-valve System
(K.I.P.S.), and UNI:fRAK@ rear suspension.
If you want to star in
your own shows, take
home any ofthe KX bikes
now appearing at your
local Kawasaki dealer.
Remember, only a perfect ten could take nine
out of Tenn.
