two ,for ,the final time he and Faria made contact. It looked like a slow motion crash as McConnell went down with Pfetzing and John Sandona laying it down to avoid him while Faria rode around the track under the red nag. Referee Irwin Moon made thedecisian that McConnelI parked and caused Faria to hit him. McConnell was disqualified and Faria was given the win, but the shock came from the huge pro-Faria crowd. They lustily booed the decision. Sizemore (Aero-Vac Weslake) raced into the lead in the Handicap main when Don Butler wheelied 0[[ the line. Scott Brown and Faria both worked their way through the pack and they got by Butler on lap two. They slowly worked their way up to Sizemore with Faria getting past Brown for second at the white [Jag. Back in the good graces with the fans, Faria charged Sizemore and got an inside drive off the comer but he fell a hal[ length short at the Sid Sutton checkered nag. After the races Faria was asked about the call in the crash with McConnell. "I got to the inside of him and I was pushing hard and he was like turning left on the straightaway. He parked big time over there and I was in a drive and I just went through." When asked about the Handicap main and riding behind Scotty Brown Faria asked, "What, he held me up for two laps? Three laps? Once I got by him my eyes were set for winning it but I couldn't get by him (Sizemore). He was turning left too and I didn't want to do the same thing that happened to McConnell." Billy Hamill (F.O.M./Team Swollen/J&J Jawa) came all the way from the 30 to win the Division Two main event while Walt Foster took the win in Third Division. Bo Sills won round one of the annual Chopper Match race. Results SCRATCH: 1. Mike Faria (Jaw); 2. Rob Pfetzing (Wes); 3. John Sandona (Wes). HANDICAP: 1. Jim Sizemore (Wes); 2. Mike Faria (Jaw); 3.
