Robertson robs Sacto MX win By Nuklear Neukam SACRAMENTO, CA, JULY 2 Despite rCj.cing on Wednesday night instead of the regular Friday night motocross at Sacramento Raceway to accomodate the Lady Liberty celebrations, Jimmy Robertson was hotter than a firecracker as he claimed the Pro class win on his Honda. At the start of the first moLO, Doug Martin hooked up on his Honda mount and blasted into the lead. By the hal£way point, Scou McElroy and Robertson had taken over the lead and were bauling side-by-side. Eventually, Robertson swooped to the insideo£McElroy in a turn and wheelied away to take the win. Shawn Wooten wound up finishing third, while Martin and Dennis Redding rounded out the lOp rive. Robertson captured the holeshol at the start o£ the second mota, but Jason Coleman took runaway wins in the 125 and 250cc B divisions, while Steve Addington eameda hard-fought victory in l25cc C competition at Hell Hole Creek MX in 1000 F. heat. Course direction was reversed for this nonseries event. En route to his four-malO sweep of the 125 and 250cc B divisions, Freewheeling Honda-backed Coleman was challenged only once. In the £inal 250cc molO, Heath Addy took the lead away from Coleman at 'the beginning o£ lap two. Addy held Coleman at bay for three laps but Coleman had the edge and regained his lead to win with a perfect score. Addy settJed for runner-up honors over William Howell. In the I25cc B class, Coleman came back for an easy win over Alan Cockrell. Making his return to MX alter a year-long absence, David Hunt £inished 4-3 to net third overall. In £ierce l25cc C action, the first moLO win fell 10 Mike Fraylick with Steve Addington finishing second over William Reel. Moto two, however, was a different story, as Addington round his way to the front ahead o£ Fraylick. In their winner-take-all battJe, AddinglOn kept Fraylick at bay. On the la t lap, Fraylick made hi move. As Addington later explained, "At the lOp o£ the big hill, Fraylick tried to go by me on the outside. I had a better berm and Fraylick went down in the loose sand." Addington's 2-1 earned LOp gold over Fraylick's 1-2. Brothers William and John Reel bauled for third-place honors. William posted 3-4, besting John's 5-3 £ini hes. Addington returned in 250cc C action and, in his first time out on a 250, earned third overall.
