Following Black to the finish line in round two action was Kawasakimounted Lance Gorron who's 4-3 score gave him third overall ahead of Luther French on, yet, another Suzuki. Steven Phillips and David Foltz traded molO wins in the 125cc Intermediate class with Suzuki rider Phillips taking moto two to earn the overall, as Kawasaki-mounted Foltz placed second ahead of Eric Browne (Kaw). _ . The yellow and blue Suzuki RMs continued their winning ways in the 250cc Novice class as Jeb Brock topped both motos lo earn first place for the day. Kawasaki rider Ron Hofer edged Kawasaki rider Ron Williams for second. Beginner 80cc action finale o££ered up a non-Suzuki winner as Honda rider Joey Prais powered to the win ahead of Stach Kosalka on a Kawasaki. Chrisfain again at OCSpeedwa, By Scott Daloisio COSTA MESA, CA, JUNE 28 It took Alan "Crazy" Christian, the defending National Speedway Champion, a little while to get dialed in during the 1986 season, but once dialed, he has been riding like freight train on the loose. Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds the "Big Fella" won the Scratch main for the third consecutive week. Christian (STP/Valvoline/CalFab/Advantage Boats/Brant Eng. Weslake) had his hands more than full on Friday evening as new father "Flyin' Mike" Faria was gunning for the win. Christian raced off the pole and into the number one spot, but Faria, who earlier turned in a beautiful outside ride lo come from the back lo second in his semi, came out of gate three and went lo the outside. The crowd rose as Faria tried to shoot past at the end of lap one. Christian managed lo edge him back into turn one, but Earia kept the throttle on and pulled even again as they came off turn two.
