Bronikowski was on the move after a poor start and with a working from brake soon managed LO drop Truempi back LO third. Scott held on for the win as Bronikowski eventually closed to within a bikelength at the checkered. Shiltz LOok third after a strong charge through the pack with Tait once again fourth. Rapid Sports Center's Jeff Oldenberg took off LO win the first 2SOcc Expert moLO while Robin Bennett cruised in for second on his KTM. Stu Vincent rook third over Aaron Kolb. Olden berg pulled multiple holeshots as the second moLO had LO be restarted several times. He went on to win easily as the race finally proceeded. Baker doubles at Perris MX By David "Flash" Procida PERRIS, CA, MAY 26 The Oakley-sponsored Doublecross Racing Bounty Hunter Gran Prix got underway today with the combined classes of Seniors and Four-Strokes. Scott Clifton drew first blood with the Expert class holeshot taht he extended into a wire-LO-wire win, while in the Senior class Lars Larsen took the checkered. With a total of 72 riders, and the temperature in the mid 80s, the Vets class action promised LO be hot and furious. Expert' action had Jeff Larsons SOOcc Can-Am getting the holeshot, followed by Terry Davis on a 250 Honda CR. In the Amateur class, it was Bruce Bailes in the Open class and Tom Conrad in the 2S0cc class with early leads. With almost 20 2S0cc Novices, Bob Sullivan came around the first corner leading Dale Tangier, Wes Lukina and Flash Tech's David Procida. Arter overcoming a II th place start, David Flynt moved his YZ up to fourth place before a wild "Flying W" coupled with a trip over the bars dropped him to the back of the pack. With the Novice leaders swapping the lead positions back and forth Flyms charg through the pack wem virtually unnoticed and by lap five he had caught and passed Dale Tanger for the lead and the win. In the Vet 125cc Novice class, Dale Pickard overcame a last place start to take an easy win. The overall Vet win wem LO Kinney Jones as lapped riders and heavy mud had slowed Terry Davis down. The first afternoon race had 250cc Expert Mike "Lucky" Baker styling over the jumps and showing the emire 250cc class his rear wheel LO take an easy win. Baker lined up again with the Open class Experts on a YZ490 and succeeded in taking home his second win for the day. In the Novice class Louis Wright (Desert Vipers M.C.) in his first race since a nasty get-of[ in a desert race (which claimed the life of his KTM) took top honors on a CR500 Honda. It's Kelley at Indian Creek.MX By Toni Anthoni CULLMAN, AL, MAY 25 STANTON, CA Montgomery, Alabama's David Kelley was almost perfect as he won three out of the four Pro motos as the Alabama Outlaw Series moved to .the sands of Indian Creek MX. In the first l25cc A moto Kelley suffered his only defeat of the day. Darrell Ahonen grabbed the lead at the start and was never headed. Kelley and Honda-mounted Jimmy Sims were left to battlE! for second place. At the finish it. was Kelley topping Sims for second. In the second l25cc A moto it was a two rider battle between Sims and Kelley with Kelley taking control two laps from the finish and holding on to the end. He was [ollowed by Sims and Ahonen. In 250cc A action David Kelley was untouchable. After a midpack start, Kelley LOok the lead and mOLOred LO an easy win, [ollowed by Darryll Heisler and Ahonen. The second moLO was a repeat of the first wilh Kelley winning followed by Ahonen and Heisler. The l25cc B class provided some of the best racing o[ the day. Series leader, Derrick Monk grabbed the holeshot at the start of the moLO, but was followed closely by Georgia's Tony Lee and Jerry Ray. Monk led the entire moLO, but was never more than a bikelength in front of Lee and Ray. The battle for second lasted the entire moLO with Lee finally taking second on the last lap. In moLO two Honda-mounted Monk again took the lead with Ray close behind. About midway in the moLO Ray put his Kawasaki out front to stay. Monk held on for second, Pete Works claimed third. In 125ccCaction Kawasaki-mounted Lonnie Brown LOok the overall ahead of John Taylor and Mike Henn to add LO his series lead. Andre Pene took his Honda to a perfect I-I finish in the Junior Mini class. He was followed in both moLOs by series leader Danny Haynes. Results JR CYCLE: 1. Rickv Va rice; 2. Damien Brown; 3.
