Dale Quarterlay (3~) leads Joey Osowski (10) and Dave Sadowski in
combined A and B Production at the AAMRRIAMA road race at Loudon.

After the second lap, Anden took the
lead from Bachman. Sbortly after
Bachman was passed by Coombs and
Kane, leaving Bachman in fourth.
It was Anden out front again in the
first moLO of the Open A class with
Thomas Portman in second and Jim
Keevech third. Anden pulled a long
lead on Portman andKeveech LO win.
The second moto was almost a
repeat of the first outing and the finishing order was the same.
Jilp Kwisley was the overall winner
in the 125cc A class, but not without a
fight. In the first moLO Coombs pulled
the holeshot and went on LO win with
Kwisley finishing second.
Coombs didn't race the second
moto, and it was Kwisley with the
early lead and he went on lD win.
Second overall went to Mark Kane
who fought with Kevin Gibbs in
both mOlDS; Gibb took second in the
opening moLO but Kane came back to
win·moLO two.

Bougas' day ended on lap two in
turn 10, after a loose rear brake banjo
bolt leaked fluid onto his rear tire.
Bougas crashed unscathed. but two
haybaJes were severely injured.

home track in AMA Amateur·
road race action at Bryar Motorsport Park, taking wins in

One, and second in Formula One
Expen classes. While Quanerley was
not able to run away and hide from
the field in his usual custom, the
Eagle Racing-sponsored rider was
the fastest Suzuki GSXRJ 100-mounted pilot, with lap times in the oneminute, 12-second bracket.

of the AM A, and AAMRR officials
enabled the running of the event after
AAMRR lost its insurance shortly before the weekend. According to
AAMRR head Steve Ross, "At th
last minute. our insurance company
called and cancelled our insurance.
We were unable toobtain other insur·
ance in the time remaining, so we put
together an arrangement with the
track owner and the AMA to run as
an AMA event, tBe AMA being ab e
to obtain insurance through thelT

AAMRR classes, rules, and format

professionalism of AAMRR registration and scoring staff played a

After two days of rainy practice.
Sunday's weather stayed cloudy but
warm and dry for sprint finals. David
Strobel charged LO the front in Formula One Expen. and led wire-towire for the win. Quarterley hindered
by a brand new front tire, halved a six
second gap by the finish, but could
not catch Strobel's modified
GSXR 750. Strobel has won all thre
Formula One races this season. "It
