Sumner MANITOWOC, WI, MAY IS The Southeastern Shon Trackers held their first race of the 1986 season at the Mantiowoc County Fairgrounds and had 130 r.iCers representing (ive states. The big winners, however, were Kevin Atherton and Steve Champine. Due to rdin showers the night before, the program had to be postponed a few hours to allow for adequate track prepardtion. By race time, the half· mile oval had turned into a hardpacked groove all the way around. A crash-eon(used 50cc class started the program and (inally ended up with Glen Schnabel Jr. as the overall Modi(ied winner while Jake Wyma took the Stock win. Karter Busse won the 65cc class and took second in the SOcc A and SOcc B combined win behind Bret Beyer. Bob Ybema took the 125ccwin while Dave Gabert won the 200cc class. Mike Schave took the 250cc win over Tim May and Billy Menzel, while Larry Mischler dominated the 400cc class.
