On May18, riders competing in the
500cc class of the Italian Grand Prix in Monza;
Italy had to say.goodbye to three trophies.
Because Eddie Lawson took one. Randy
Mamola took one. And Mike Baldwin tookone.
In otherwords, itwas an American sweep.
Not to mention aYamaha sweep.
And while it's true our Italian friends were
sad to see their trophies leave Italy; they were
happy about something else:
Lawson, Mamola and Baldwin left, too.
