Reasners triple at HideawayMX By Pete Keiser NEWBURG, PA, MAY 12 Karen Reasner had a happy Mother's Day watching her husband Pierre and sons Pierson and Pierron all win their 56 divisions in the fourth race of the season a,t Hideaway motocross. Forty-three-year-old Pierre swept both motos of the Super Senior division in fine style aboard a Kawasaki KX250. In addition to beating the other Super Seniors, he passed sev·eral of the Senior A and B riders on his way to the checkered nag. Rounding out the field of Supers were Donald Slenker on a Kawasaki and Gerald Winkler on il Honda, who rode to second and third in both motos. Pierson, 14, showed the crowd he's ready to move up to the B class of 125cc competition by winning the 1.25cc C class. In the first lap of the fust moto, he moved his Kawasaki from fourth to second place. James Lloyd led on a Honda, and was able to maintain first despite Reasner's attempts to pass. In the second moto, Pierson had .the race in hs pocket from the drop of the gate to the drop of the checkered £lag. In fact, he was easily a hundred yards ahead of the second place rider. Second place overall went to Donald Collins on a Yamaha, who had fifth and fourth place finishes in his motos. James Lloyd only placed eighth in the second moto, but took third overall. Eight-year-old Pierron completed the Reasner sweep by taking first in the 60cc class. "Pee Wee" as he is known to friends, had the hardest time winnig of his family. While he did take the holeshot in the first moto, he was soon passed by rival Jonathan "John Wayne" Lloyd. Lloyd did more double-j umping than Pee Wee, and built a sizeable lead. In the second moto, even doublejumping wasn't enough for Lloyd. During a fall in the first turn, Jonathan lost considerable ground to Reasner and third-place Jason Miller. While he was able to make up mostof it, he couldn't quite catch Pee Wee, who was making time in the turns. The final standin~s showed Pierron first, Lloyd second, and Miller third, all board Kawasakis. Results 50: 1. William Zimmerman (Yam). 60: 1. Pierron Reasner (Kew); 2. Jonathan lJoyd (Kew); 3. Lazor is waiting on the arrival of a brand new 1986 Jawa, and until it arrive frorri Europe, Lazor is relegated to ride an older two-valve Jawa. In his Scratch heat, Lazor took the lead into the first corner, but Dale Wakefield, on board his Weslake, flew by Lazor down the back chute. Lazor held on to econd place to transfer into the semi final. In the first cratch semi, Steve Watson made himself know as a force to be reckoned with in 1986, as he transferred into the main event along wi th Mark Edwards. Lazor fought off a challenge by Bruce elson in the second semi final, as both riders made their way to the Division One main. By the time the main event rolled out, Lazor had the two-valve dialed in, but he knew if he didn't get the holeshot and come out of the second turn with the lead he would be in trouble. He blasted out of his second starting position and immediately broke tothe inside line, shutting the door on Nelson, who earlier had mechanical problem with his Godden machine and had LO borrow another bike seconds before the main event. Steve Watson ovenook Nelson for second and began his charge on Lazor. In the turns it appeared that Watson was making up ground but Lazor pulled away down the straights. Lazor held on to h is comfortable lead for the last three laps 'to gain the win. Nelson edged Watson for second as he made an inside move on the last turn of lap four. Edwards crossed the line in fourth place. The Handicap main event ended in controversy. Ohio's John Racin, appeared to have the race in hand with a comfortable lead, but he drifted wide in the final turn. At the same time Nelson, pushing hard, trying to make up ground, lost control of his machine, which sLid to the wall, taking Racin down. Both riders scrambled to untangle their bikes, and in the meantime, Steve Watson took the checkered flag. Although a large protest en~ued, Watson was initially given the wm, but track officials met after the evening program and awarded first place to Racin. Watson was given second followed by Dale Wakefield, Mike Buman and Jim Nabinger. Nelson was disqualified for causing the mishap. Unfortunately, for Racin, his protest got way out of hand and he has been barred from competition at Action Park for an indefinite period. Results HANDICAP: 1. John Raein (Jew); 2.
