Lucero q uickl y worked his way up to second with McConnell taking Woods for the third spot. Oxley (Coors/KNAC FM/ Cirello Racing/Hallman/Silkolene/ Simpson/Scon Goggles Weslake) had the lead, but Lucero closed the gap. As they came off turn four on the third circuit, Lucero g-ave Oxley a tap just to let him know he was there. But Brad Oxley won the Scratch main at Or~nge County speedway. that was all Lucero was able to do a Oxley took the main by a narrow margin. McConnell and Woods rounded out the field. Woods (Shoei/Penzoil/K&N/ Terrycable/Seer/Mikuni/PBJ GM) was back at his hop rushing LO get his motor LOgether at 6:00 p.m. Whatever he did worked, as he won four of hi six starts of the night, including all three of his Handicap rides.
