Desmond again came on strong at the end to grab second. Desmond staned better in the next heat but could not reel in Bellora. Jim Queen went 4-3 for third. In the 125cc A class Gear/Wisecol Scott-supported Coombs took the win with a 1-2 tally. He overcame a poor stan in the first round to take the win in from of Petrick, then followed G lass home in maLO two for the overall. Honda scored one through five in the final Lally as Coombs, Glass, Petrick, Jeff McCune, and Anden were all CR-moumed. . Bonace swept both moLOS of the 85cc (12-13) morning class in front of Eric Arlet, Wright Bagwell, and Sam Williams. In the afternoon Super Mini class he trailed Michael McDonald with Ron Bailey and Williams chasing him. McDonald DNF mota two after early trouble and left Bonace all alone out front. Bailey took the runner-up trophy with his 3-2 score. Mc Donald's day was not a LOtal loss. Earlier he had swept both motos of the 85cc (14-15) race on his Suzuki. Maryland's Charles Morris finished second with a 2-4 while Bailey went 5-3 for third. Stephen Crowe looked strong in 125 and 250cc B class action, scoring four mota wins. The Suzuki rider incorporated good starts all day long into comfortable leads then kept things in control late in the motos as 40 rider classes meant lots of lappers. Results OPEN A: 1. Get new muscle at a p.rice you can afford .•• see your dealer todayl Reed wins Beaver Valley MX By Curt Baronio HOOKSTOWN, PA, MAY 5 Mark Reed took his Kawasaki to the oyerall in the 250cc Expert class today at Beaver Valley motocross after competing against Honda rider David Bachman. Bachman and his CR was the team LO beat in [he first 250cc Pro maLO. He blasted into an early lead and was never challenged the whole way; taking the win, while Reed motored into a safe second. The second maLO was much closer. Heading inLO the first turn, Reed and. Bachman were handlebar to handlebar, but Bachman crashed in the turn, giving Reed a huge lead. However, Bachman remounted and aimed his sights on the leader. As the race progressed, Bachman noticeably gained on Reed lap after lap. On the final go-'round, Bachman was three bikelengths behind the leader and the overall was up for grabs.
