Fisher, Montemayor trade. CRRC wins By Scott Schaefer HENDERSON , TX, APR. 20 Phillip Fisher and B.B. Montemayor brought back excitement to the middleweight classes by trading wins in the C Production and Superbike cla sses o n their new FZ600s at O ak Hill Racew ay in th e seco nd CRRC race of 1986. Fisher took home th e Yamaha co ntin gency in th e Stoc k class whil e B.B. went fastest in th e Modi£ied. Montemayor had just received his new bike from a sponsor Thrusday. H e sp en t Friday night in hi s room a t th e motel sa fety wirin g it and was quite disappointed when it rained all da y on practi ce Saturday. When Sunda y cleared up th ou gh , he loo k like a fish to water in th e n ewl y instigated split Expert an d Novice practice sessions. Fisher likewise had j USI galien his n ew bike, a gift from his sister Tina, and wa s riding the T & P Yama.ha f?r t~e firs~ lime. H e kept B,B, 111 his Sights 111 th e opening Super bi ke class but co u ld never get within four or five bikel engths. Mark Andrews on an Interceptor, and David Ro th on another new FZ followed the leadin g duo around th e track. After some fatherly advice from former club president Joe Fisher to smooth OUI his riding style, Phillip came back in the Production class and led from wire to wire. H is lead over B.B.' at the fin ish was about six seconds with Andrews and Hondamounted Bart Winters pulling down third and fourth places. Montemayor a lso won B Superbike on a ' FZ750, and look second in D Production and Superbike on a RZ350. Doug Po len came back to Henderson to collect some more Suzuki and Honda m on ey, He was largely uncontes ted in both A and B Productio n classes ori his Suzuki GSXRs : In the 750cc race, Meril Moen held down second on a Suzu ki and Da n n y Wa lk er, visiting fro m Colorado, took third o n a Yamaha.
