Peterson rules WERA Talladega By Cindy Bowen TALLADEGA, AL, APR. 20 Ba rt Peterson had an excellent weekend winning all three classes he entered in WERA Regional Sprints held at Talledega Grand Prix Ra ceway. The fir st half of C Production sa w Peterson run second, right on th e heels 0[ _ Coast Medical Associates-sponsored G reg T ysor. Taking ad van.tage of slower riders, Peterson got his Fj600 by T ysor 's o n th e sixth la p tl? take t~e lead, finishing th e race o n ly in ch es 111 front o f Tysor. • . . ' Peter son switched to hi s FZ7:J0 111 A P roductio n to battle it o u t aga in with T ysor o n hi s Fj600, a nd Ron Ew erth 's FZ750. Peter son took the lead o n th e second lap o n ly to run of f th e track a nd let Tysor by o n th e fo u rt h lap. Peterson ca me bac k o nto th e tr ack , passed T ysor o n lap six for th e lead an d went on to win. Ew er th motored h is FZ750 past Tysor fo r seco nd place. . The B class ra n co m bined with th e C cla ss and a t th e drop of th e ga te it was Schiele quickly leaving th e competi tio n behind. The third round of the Kerker ]00 Superbike Series and the Formula USA Unlimited ' Motorcycle Grand Prix. At the end of both, the winner. was the same - Kerker powered Jim .Vreeke.
