By James Derek " Fast Freddi e" Turjan broke the Wayne Arie l/Steve Crowe stronghold on the 250cc B class to score the 'overall victory at Steel City USA Motocross, -T u rjan had been cha llenging th e two young up-and-comers for nearly two months before fina lly entering the winner's circle on his Suzuki. Crowe had scored the win in th e firs t rn oto in front o f Rob Gun ya an d Turj an , but could not muster a top-five finish in th e second heat . Turj an drifted h ome in seco nd behind a sur p ris ing Doug Zucco a nd thus scored th e overall win. Eri c Reuig was the runner up with hi s 5-3 sco re with Norm Bish , Zucco , an d Gunya ro u nd in g out th e LOp five. . A light bu t steady rain throughout the af ternoo n kept th e track in pe rmium co n ditio n , with multiple lines a nd mas sive berms stretch ing across the Delmont Valley.
