Doug Polen won all three money classes in cluding th e A a n d B Production on a Suzuki GSXR and a lso taking the 500cc Interceptor race. Polen apparently took th e m oney and ran an d wa s noticeably a bsen t a t th e trophy presenta tion. The ra ce da y started wi th three-lap heat ra ces for th e Money classes. Polen took th e pole for the Intercep tor race with Mark Andrews and Alfred Bernard taking second and th ird pl aces, respectiv ely. In B Production, B.B. Montem ayor got . th e ho lesho t and fin ish ed a solitary first , followed by Kosar Raci ng 's Ottis Lance and Meril Moen with a ll three on Suzukis. A Production was th e closest with a sp ectac u la r three man draft to the finish with Lance fol lowed by Moen and Pol en with all riders GSX RIIOO-mounted.
