J ones kept th e su pe r-q u ick CR in sight , but was never able to mount a serious ch arge . The seco n d moto saw J ones holeshot, but Coo m bs attacked immediately a nd took th e lead halfwa y into the first lap. The tw o banged bars for two more loops before J ones ende d up o n th e wrong si de of a berm. H e let th e H onda go and coasted to second for the overall. Bobby Petrick , Glass, and Andrew s rounded o u t the to p five .
