The 250cc B division saw Keith
Brady make hiueturn to racing after
a two-year absence. Riding his twoyear-old Yamaha, Brady managed a
second place finish behind Eddie
Almond in the opening mota.
David Heath showed the way at the
start of mota two with Almond in
close pursuit. On the fourth lap Almond fell, giving second position to
Brady. With three laps remaining,
however, Brady crashed over a jump
and DNF. Heath held on for the win,
his 3-1 netting second overall behind
Almond's 1-2.
In the first Senior Mini mota Trey
Phillips outdistanced the pack en
route to the win over Bryan Rice.
William Mutimer initially held second spot but suffered two spills and
had to settle for a fifth place finish.
Mutimer put his Barr's Competition-backed Kawasaki into the lead
on the first lap of the second mota.
Lap two, however, saw Phillips go by
for the lead. Then, with two laps remaining, the Phillips/Mutimer duo
was stalled by a lapped rider. Mutimer
seized the opportunity and jumped
into the lead and won with a threesecond lead over Phillips. Phillips'
overall victory remained intact as his
1-2 topped Mutimer's 5-1 and Rice's

Paul York won the 250cc Expert
class today just as he had done
on Friday night with a wellearned 1-2 score to take the overall over Honda-moumed Roger Schelenberger.
Yark took the holeshot in the first
moto; D.L. Wood (Yam) was second,
followed by Chris Pritchett (Han),
who has jut moved up from the
Intermediate clas . On lap three, Dean
Lane (KTM), who had gated poorly,
began passing riders up to second
place. Meanwhile, Schelenberger,
following Lane's lead, moved into
third after Wood crashed. On lap six,
Lane and Schelenberger both started
gaining on York, who enjoyed a
good lead most of the moto. York,
feeling the pressure, kicked it up a bit
and was first at the checkers with
Lane and Schelenberger second and
third.
Moto two again saw York take the
holeshot with Steve Reavis (Kaw)
and Schelenberger in tow. The start
was marred by a horrendous crash
just before the first corner, involving
Johnny Gerhart (Suz) and Lane. It
looked like a trip in the ambulance
for while, but both riders survived
without serious injuries. Gerhart retired and Lane continued' in last
place. While the paramedics sorted
out the crash, York was again cruising out from when he bobbled and
crashed in the woods. By this time,
Bob Abbott (Han), who normally
