AmPro Yamaha's Mike Wit- kowski turned in an eighth overall finish for third in the XC2 class, while Beta USA's Thorn Devlin (Bet) and Pheonix Honda's Jonathon Johnson were ninth and 10th overall, respec- tively, and rounded out the top five in the XC2 division. Zach Osborne, meanwhile, finished 29th after his bad start. "It's different," said Osborne who has raced GNCC a couple of times before and was on two US ISDE teams. "I practiced a middle and got around me," said Girroir. "I put the hammer down when I saw the two-lap board and I charged and got him." Delong was seventh, 29 sec- onds back, and second in the XC2 class. "I ran Johnny down and actu- ally got around him," said De- long. "When he pitted, I stopped the lap before. I had a little prob- lem with a lapper earlier in the lap and the little gap that I had on him kind of got taken down. He was on me. I was making a couple mistakes and he got and then reeled in Josh, but I just couldn't pass him." Babbitt's Online/Monster Energy/Team Green Kawasaki's Jordan Ashburn rounded out the top five after getting knocked around in the first turn and start- ing the race in last. Trail Jesters Racing KTM's Johnny Girroir finished an impressive sixth overall and first XC2 rider, coming out on top of an intense fight with last round winner Craig Delong, on his Rockstar Energy Husqvarna. "Craig caught me there in the Johnny Girroir was sixth overall—good enough for the XC2 Pro-class victory.
