he Italian manufacturer Beta, a company well-
known for its top-of-the-line off-road and trials
motocross bikes, is getting into the moto-
cross business with the introduction of an all-new
limited-edition model, the Beta 300 RX, featuring a
293cc two-stroke motor with a six-speed transmis-
sion and electric starting.
It also features a 19-inch rear wheel, closed-car-
tridge KYB forks, a Sachs rear shock and a special
frame built exclusively for the RX. The frame accom-
modates longer-travel suspension, and the shock
was specially built in-house for motocross use.
Other cool features include push-button seat
