DEC. 29 Troy Fuller conti n ued h is do mination of th e 80cc class at round two of th e AMA O regon Winter Series held a t th e Albany Su percro ss. Fuller used a 1-2 tall y to top th e third largest class o f th e da y whil e Yamaha-mounted Dan Gregory rode 10 a 3-2 overall in th e next largest field , th e 250cc C cla ss. At 22 riders, th e I25cc C class was th e largest event , topped, once again. by Ka wa saki-mounted Lance Rudge. The 80cc riders ran co m bined, sta rt ing in th ree wa ves with th e Ex perts turned loo se first. For th e first time in several races, Paul Winn (Sim pso n / Scou/PJ IIO 'N eal / Yam ) had so me competition. Winn 's two-mote victory laurels didn 't co me without a cha lle nge as T a ra H arrison (T ea m G reen /Bellevue Kaw ) a n d fello w Wa shinglOn rider Rod T apia (Suz) hounded Winn from a few turns back. Harrison carded a 2-2 for seco nd while Tap ia went 3-3 for a third. Yamaha rid er Bobby Eym an won th e B portion , goi ng 1-2 to bea t in credible Jason Pearson (Ha n) a nd Chad Berry (Ya m ). Kawa saki p il ot Dann y Ulven won rno to two, but a DNF in th e first o u ting pu t th e local ace o u t o f th e pi cture in the overalls.
